Review Date: 08/04/09, By: Golf Putter Guide
The My Girl 2008 is Has it All , Yet Provides Unspoiled PerformanceThe My Girl 2008 is a “Daddy’s girl” all the way. Designer Scotty Cameron has given this girl everything she wants, and she’s anything but spoiled! He’s passed on the genetics and classic design of his Newport button backs, and fashioned her from glamorous 303 stainless steel.
Girlish pink brightens the club throughout, and the Fleur De Lis communicates exceptional quality. Glamour gives way to game on the carpet, however. The soft insert is honed from aircraft aluminum, and provides super supple feel on the greens. Perfectly weighted throughout, the blade-style club head distributes the impact of each strike evenly, meaning the sweet spot is expanded, and moderate miss-hits are politely ignored. The bottom of the club is gently curved to raise the toe a bit. The result is reduced likelihood of dragging the club and souring the putt from the start. The club is nicely balanced for the ladies, and will encourage good technique, accuracy in alignment, and fantastic ball performance.
